Message from Principal

Dear Canyon Crest Coyote Families,

Welcome to the 2025–2026 school year! On behalf of the entire Canyon Crest Elementary team, I’m thrilled to greet each of you as we begin another exciting year of learning, growth, and community.

At Canyon Crest, we take pride in being Coyotes and living by the values of the PACK. As a PBIS (Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports) school, we emphasize behaviors that reflect our core expectations:

                P – Positive

                A – Accountable

                C – Careful

                K – Kind

These values guide our actions and help create a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all students.

To ensure student safety remains our top priority, all students from PK through 5th grade will enter through the main front doors each morning. We believe that strong partnerships between families and staff are essential to student success. Our shared goal is to help your child thrive academically and socially, and we’re committed to working together to make that happen.

Our dedicated teachers have been collaborating to design engaging and meaningful lessons that spark curiosity and deepen learning. Open and consistent communication will be key to supporting your child’s journey this year. Please feel free to reach out to your child’s teacher via email or by calling the school at (909) 357-5440.

We also invite you to participate in school events and meetings such as Coffee with the Principal, School Site Council (SSC), and the English Language Advisory Council (ELAC). Your voice and involvement are valued and make a difference.

For additional information, including policies and procedures, please refer to our Student Parent Handbook available on our website.

I’m looking forward to a fantastic year filled with collaboration, growth, and putting students first. Please know that my door is always open—I’m here to support both you and your children. Thank you for your continued partnership, flexibility, and positivity!

Warm regards,
Mrs. Piddington
